You might wonder how anyone could possibly choose to be a funeral celebrant. But I did. And the reason I did is because to me, being asked to write and conduct a memorial service for your loved one is the ultimate compliment that you could ever give me.

My dad inspired me immensely when he delivered his own mother's memorial service. I remember sitting there at the beginning of the funeral, and wishing with all my might that I could be anywhere else but there. But then, my dad took us on an incredibly emotive journey with his celebration of my grandmother's life, and the tribute was so moving that by the end of the service I was actually saying to myself "I don't want this to end".

This is why, for me, there is no greater honour than being asked to develop and deliver a ceremony to commemorate and celebrate the life of someone who has passed.
